Summer — or, as my fellow full-time shoppers and I like to call it, the season of savings — is just around the corner, and Nordstrom's Half-Yearly Sale is the massive retailer's way of bidding adieu to the chillier months and hello to sunshine. Sure, a quick scroll through Nordstrom's virtual aisles will reveal a few enticing designer deals up-front, but trust us, the beauty department is chock full of jaw-dropping discounts on high-end brands that you definitely don't want to miss.

What's currently up for grabs? Well, from now through June 5, some of the biggest names in beauty (MAC, It Cosmetics, and Kate Somerville, to name a few) are marked down at up to a staggering 60 percent off. Though the savings event doesn't include hair-care products as of now, there are still handfuls of impressive savings across the retailer's skin, makeup, and fragrance departments — the following are just a few of the impressive deals that caught the attention of our editors' eyes (and wallets).
